Unknown suspected political thugs on Saturday seized voting materials from Odopetu Ward 7 in Akure, the Ondo State capital, as accreditation for the state governorship election got under way.
An observer with the Twitter handle @newsbytesnow said in a tweet to INEC that the gunmen took the materials away.
Responding, INEC wrote, “We’re aware of this matter and taking steps to deal with it. Thank you for letting us know!”
